Muhammed Ali's advice to his daughters..

As usual I came across this piece from a friend’s wall and I could not share in this Fatherly advice alone, read on…
An incident transpired when Muhammad Ali’s daughters arrived at his home wearing clothes that were quite revealing.

Here is the story as told by one of his daughters:
“When we finally arrived, the chauffeur escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my father’s suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us.
We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day.

My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget.
He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to.

Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.
Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.

Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard to get to them.”

He looked at me with serious eyes. “Your body is sacred! You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too!”

From the book: More Than A Hero: Muhammad Ali's Life Lessons Through His Daughter's Eyes.

This advice is not for the ladies alone it also for the gentlemen, if only we could see our body to be more precious than these gems and precious stones.

If only we could make our selves look costly then cheap people will not harass us, there will be less fornication, there will be less cases of rape etc,
If only we see our body to be scared, than the world will be a better place for us all.

Lets say this prayer..
Thank you lord for the gift of me,
Thank you for making me fearfully and wonderfully,
Thank you for making my body your temple,
Forgive me Father for dishonouring you with the way i dress,
By your grace and power help me to dress decent that my dressings will glorify you...
In Jesus name i pray.... Amen!

SHARE this piece with friends, this might change a friend’s perception today…

BE WATCHFUL OF YOUR SELF...

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
We pray your help oh Lord in Jesus name Amen..

:::::::::EBOLA OUTBREAK::::::: PROTECT YOU::::::::::::::::

The largest, most deadly, outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in history is sweeping across West Africa, primarily in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. As of July 20, 2014, 1048 cases of EVD have been suspected or confirmed, with 660 deaths in this current outbreak.

July 24, 2014, a Liberian male, Patrick Sawyer, collapsed, on arrival at Lagos International Airport. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted to an isolation ward, where swift measures were taken to test him for EVD. He man died July 25, 2014, still quarantined. By July 26th, his death was confirmed to be from EVD making this the first case of Ebola on record in Nigeria, Africa’s biggest economy and most-populous country.

Knowledge is power to fight spread of the deadly EVD. This is what you need to know:
Key Facts
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, killing up to 90 percent of its human victims.
Outbreaks of EVD occur primarily in Central and West Africa, near tropical rainforests.

Ebola’s natural host is the fruit bat of the Pteropodidae family, which infects wild animals, which then infect humans.
Once EVD is contracted by humans, it rapidly spreads human-to-human, via direct contact with body fluids or dead bodies of victims. Infectious body fluids include: blood, saliva, semen, vomit, urine and feces.

Severely ill victims need intensive supportive care.  There is no specific treatment to kill the virus. There is no cure.
There is no vaccine for humans or animals.

There are five distinct species of Ebola virus. Three strains, designated BDBV, EBOV, and SUDV, are the source of the outbreaks in Africa. RESTV and TAFV, found in the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China, can infect humans but are not known to cause illness or deaths.

Transmission
Ebola is introduced into humans through handling sick or dead animals. Ebola then spreads in the community, human-to-human, from direct contact with the blood, secretions, organs, or other body fluids. Indirect contact with a contaminated environment is also a source of spread.

Burial ceremonies in which mourners have direct contact with the body are sources of transmissions. Men who have recovered from EVD can transmit the virus through their semen for up to 7 weeks after recovering.
Healthcare workers have become infected while treating patients with suspected or confirmed EVD, when strict infection-control precautions were not practiced.

Signs and symptoms
EVD is characterized by the sudden onset of fever, extreme weakness, muscle pain, headache and sore throat, quickly followed by vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and impaired liver and kidney function. There may be internal and external bleeding. Blood tests show low white blood cell and platelet counts and abnormal liver enzyme levels.

The time from infection with the virus and onset of symptoms (incubation period) is 2 to 21 days. People are infectious as long as their blood and secretions contain the virus. Ebola has been found in semen 61 days after the illness.

Diagnosis
Other diseases that must be ruled out before a diagnosis of EVD is assigned include malaria, typhoid fever, shigellosis, cholera, plague, rickettsiosis, relapsing fever, meningitis, hepatitis and other viral hemorrhagic fevers.

Several laboratory blood tests can diagnose EVD definitively: antigen, antibody, serum neutralization, and an enzyme reaction test. High-powered electron microscopy and cell culture can also diagnose EVD. Samples from patients are extreme biohazards, and must be handled under maximum biological-containment conditions.

Vaccine and treatment
There is no vaccine or specific drug treatment for EVD. Both are under development. Patients require intensive supportive care. They are frequently dehydrated and require oral or intravenous fluids.

They killed their only son by mistake – A hear touching story

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open.

He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died.

The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

QUESTIONS:
What were the five words?
What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER:
The husband just said “I am with you Darling”

The husband’s totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened.

No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.”A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

“Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY

This story is really worth reading. . Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out some warmth in human relationship.

The Painful part of parenthood – Love your Father and Mother - A heart touching Story...

A poor couple who lived in a small village in London. They had only one son. Gave him the best education. Son graduated as an Engineer in the nearby city.

Eventually, got married to a rich girl.Initially, they lived with his parents in the village. Soon the wife got tired of village life and persuaded the husband to move to the city leaving the old parents in the village.

As time passed by the husband seen an advert in the newspaper about a vacancy in Barnet. He was successful and lived in Barnet for years with his wife. Regularly he used to send money to parents.

Eventually with time he stopped and forgot about his parents ever existed.
Every year he made Hajj(pilgrimage) and immediately after that he used to see someone telling him in a dream that his Hajj is not accepted.

One day he related story to a pious Aalim who advised him to go back to London to visit his parents.
The man flew to London and reached the boundary of the village. Everything had changed. He could not find his house.

He asked a small boy about the whereabouts of so and so. The little boy directed the man to a house and said:
“In this house lives an old blind lady who lost her husband a few months ago. She has a son who migrated to Saudi Arabia years back and never came back again. What an unfortunate man?”

Son enters the home and finds his mother on the bed. He tip-toed as not to wake her up.He hears the mother whispering or mumbling something. He gets closer to hear her voice. This is what the mother was saying:

“God ! I am now very old and blind. My husband just died. There is NO HUSBAND to lower me in my grave when I die. So please send my son to fulfill my last wish. “

This is the ending of a story where the PRAYERS of a mother is accepted.

A human body can bear only 45 del (unit) of pain. But at the time of giving birth,a mother feels up to 57 del(unit) of pain. This is similar to 20 BONES GETTING FRACTURED, all at the same time!!

I died and went to heaven – Heart Touching Story...

A certain man died and went to heaven.
He was granted a chance to go round God’s premises and below was his observations as the angel Gabriel took him around.

They entered the first department, a very big hall where so many angels (in their millions) were busy sorting letters.
The man was surprised and asked in amusement,
“what are they doing?”

Gabriel answered, “they are sorting letters of prayer
requests according to their categories, for people who are sick, seeking jobs, need deliverance, for divine intervention etc.

They moved into the next department where they saw almost the same set up, but this time, the angels were packing letters into boxes and sealing then.

Again, the man asked what they were doing and the angel told him that they were sealing God’s letter in reply to the request made by people on earth for healing, jobs and so on.

Lastly, they went to the last department where they saw only one man sitting and dozing with nothing much to do.
This time, the man asked the angel slowly, “why is this man sitting here?” Gabriel turned and looked at the man, this department is not always as busy as the other ones.

The angel here is supposed to be receiving letters of
thanksgiving from people on earth who have received their replies of blessing, healing and so on… From God, but none of them seem to remember where the blessings came from.

That is why this department has only one man to
take care of all the duties, and he is never busy, that’s why you see him dozing.
The man’s heart was moved, tears dropped from his eyes and he wished he could go back to Earth to inform his brothers and sisters of what he saw.

Dear reader,
What has God done to you?
How many answers to your requests have you received?
How many obstacles have you overcome?
In how many wars of life did you find yourself a victor?
Do you give thanks to God?
Now, today, you are alive, strong and healthy, having a good job and a loving
family,
have you thanked God for that?
If really you want God to keep on answering your requests, try giving thanks
in any way you can any time you receive God’s blessing,

Please Share this with as many of your friends you want God to bless using the sharing tools, to help them realize they really thought to always show appreciation to God.

Inspirational short story with moral – Trust in God.

A man just got married and was returning home with his wife. They were crossing a lake in a boat, when suddenly a great storm arose.
The man was a warrior, but the woman became very much afraid because it seemed almost hopeless:
The boat was small and the storm was really huge, and any moment they were going to be drowned. But the man sat silently, calm and quiet, as if nothing was happening.

The woman was trembling and she said, “Are you not afraid?” This may be our last moment of life! It doesn’t seem that we will be able to reach the other shore. Only some miracle can save us; otherwise death is certain. Are you not afraid? Are you mad or something? Are you a stone or something?

The man laughed and took the sword out of its sheath. The woman was even more puzzled: What he was doing?
Then he brought the naked sword close to the woman’s neck, so close that just a small gap was there, it was almost touching her neck.
He said,” Are you afraid?”

She started to laugh and said,” Why should I be afraid?
If the sword is in your hands, why I should be afraid? I know you love me.

” He put the sword back and said, this is my answer”. I know God Loves me, and the storm is in His hands

SO WHATSOEVER IS GOING TO HAPPEN IS GOING TO BE GOOD. If we survive, good! If we don’t survive, good! Because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong.

Moral: Develop Trust. This is the trust which one needs to imbibe. And which is capable of transforming your whole life. Any less won’t do!

Do have you a nice weekend...

The 45 Lessons That Life Taught Me...

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio .

“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I’ve ever written.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1.  Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

2.  When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3.  Life is too short – enjoy it.

4.  Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick.    Your friends and family will.
5.  Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8.  It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9.  Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
     10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11.  Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12.  It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13.  Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14.  If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15.  Everything can change in the blink of an eye But don’t worry; God never blinks.

16.  Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17.  Get rid of anything that isn’t useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
18.  Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
19.  It’s never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.

20.  When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.
21.  Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22.  Prepare, and then go with the flow.
23.  Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24.  The most important sex organ is the brain.

25.  No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26.  Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will this matter?’

27.  Always choose life.
28.  Forgive
29.  What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.

35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have not what you need.
42. The best is yet to come…
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.

45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

What's your story? what lesions have life taught you?

Nearer my God to thee..

Good morning my dear friends, few days ago i was surfing through my youtube channels and i came across this song, as rearranged by Vocal Point while listening to the song i for once stopped and thought...

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthnew 16:26)

Friends Heaven is real and i will like to see you there but while we are on earth, let us draw nearer to God for everything. Do have fun listening.
Have a nice weekend rest.
